Size Guide

Start with your frame size, then choose the matching print or digital file. Available sizes vary by product; the listing and selected option are your reference.

Our common physical print sizes

Print size Frame to choose
21 × 30 cm 21 × 30 cm frame
30 × 40 cm 30 × 40 cm frame
40 × 50 cm 40 × 50 cm frame
50 × 70 cm 50 × 70 cm frame

Measurements refer to the print, not the outside of the frame. A4 is 21 × 29.7 cm, so check your frame's stated fit rather than assuming it is exactly 21 × 30 cm.

Using a mount

If you want a border around the art, choose a larger frame with a mount sized for your print. Check the mount's opening and the frame manufacturer's fitting instructions.

Choosing a digital file

Use the size or ratio specified for your frame. For example, 30 × 40 cm has a 3:4 ratio and 40 × 50 cm has a 4:5 ratio. Different proportions can crop the artwork. Not every product includes every size: check its description and download folder.

For a file already sized to your paper, start with actual size or 100% scale. Preview the result and ask your printer about margins or borderless printing. Do not stretch the image to fill a differently shaped frame.

Check the scale on your wall

Cut paper to the intended print size and place it on the wall temporarily with a suitable removable fixing. Include room for the frame and any mount. For a coordinated pair, matching sizes are an easy starting point.
